“We are not physical beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.” ~ Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
What is Spiritual Counseling and is this the right service for you?
Spiritual Counseling is founded on the understanding that we are spiritual beings in our essence having a human experience. This means that whether we are trying to overcome anxiety, depression, limiting beliefs, or emotional trauma, the healing cannot be complete without including our spiritual dimension. In fact, I can state with absolute certainty, based on my personal experience, and my experience working with my clients, that only when we reconnect with and begin living from our True Self as a spiritual being, we are able to transcend our limitations, heal the wounds from the past, and blossom into the full potential of our true essence.
This service is dedicated to the evolution of the client's spiritual life, where each session is tailored to the person's unique experience of the path. Here are some of the most common issues I help my clients with as part of this service.
~ Spiritual awakening and its many "symptoms" (please read more about this below)
~ Understanding the past and current "human" challenges from the perspective of the Higher Self
~ Healing the emotional traumas by recognizing and embracing one true essence
~ Finding the true "why" for the purpose of one's existence
~ Building an unshakable self-worth that is not based on anything external
~ Cultivating mental, emotional, and spiritual resilience
~ Empowerment through discovering and applying your Spiritual Superpowers
~ Establishing and/or maintaining meditation or other spiritual practices
~ Seeing the connection between spirituality and science
~ "The Dark Night of the Soul"
~ Integrating spirituality into your daily life
~ Awakening, aligning, and balancing the energy centers though somatic practices

What is Spiritual Awakening?
In the most simplest language, Spiritual Awakening is "waking up" to or realizing the true essence of who we are as Spiritual Beings and the true nature of reality. Spiritual Awakening can take many forms, and in some cases it can be quite intense resulting in emotional or mental breakdowns or physical illnesses. For most people though the indications of this process can range from various negative emotions to questioning what was once accepted as true. Please see the list of most common "symptoms" below.
While each person's path is unique, for reasons ranging from karmic to most mundane current life circumstances, the process itself evolves through stages that are common to most. If you are wondering if this is what's happening to you, here is the list of some of the most common indications of Spiritual Awakening in no particular order. Here you can find more information about spiritual awakening and 33 questions you can ask yourself to see if that's what you are experiencing.
The "symptoms" of Spiritual Awakening
~ Nothing feels right with us, our life and the world. An ever-present vague sense of discontentment.
~ Feeling different from others, not feeling the sense of belonging with most people.
~ Dissatisfaction with our achievements and our life, even if it's considered successful by society's standards.
~ Disappointment with our current religious views and beliefs.
~ Losing interest in things we once were passionate about.
~ Questioning our identity or our sense of identity dissolving, confusion about who we are and where we belong.
~ Finding our friends whose company we used to enjoy boring or unfulfilling.
~ Loss of meaning, apathy, emotional emptiness, sense of groundless-ness.
~ Doubting our deeply held beliefs. Distrusting authorities, role models, and experts.
~ Depression caused by any of the above, yet seemingly having no obvious reason.
~ Addictions and other unhealthy ways of coping with the discomfort.
~ Asking the big questions: Is there God? What is Reality made of? Who am I? What's the purpose of Existence?
While some of these could be caused by other reasons, I invite you to consider the possibility that those reasons themselves could be a sign that it is time to look deeper for answers.

"Diana is a highly educated, spiritual guide that has an amazing ability to tap into wherever you might be in your spiritual journey, that combines intuition and knowledge to provide just what you may need in the moment." ~ Jennie H., San Francisco, CA
"The same cosmic forces that mold galaxies, stars, and atoms also mold each moment of self and world. The inner self and the outer scene are born in the cleft between expansion and contraction. By giving yourself to those forces, you become those forces, and through that, you experience a kind of immortality—you live in the breath and pulse of every animal, in the polarization of electrons and protons, in the interplay of the thermal expansion and self-gravity that molds stars, in the interplay of dark matter that holds galaxies together and dark energy that stretches space apart. Don’t be afraid to let expansion and contraction tear you apart, scattering you in many directions while ripping away the solid ground beneath you. Behind that seeming disorder is an ordering principle so primordial that it can never be disordered: father-God effortlessly expands while mother-God effortlessly contracts. The ultimate act of faith is to give yourself back to those forces, give yourself back to the Source of the world, and through that, become the kind of person who can optimally contribute to the Mending of the world." ~ Shinzen Young From "Science of Enlightenment"
